Our Approach
At Expansive Counseling, we know that your identity is a fundamental part of who you are. We take an identity-affirming, strengths-based approach to therapy, ensuring that each part of your experience is respected and celebrated. Our trauma-focused care provides a space where you can explore your concerns, work through past wounds, and find empowered solutions. We understand that societal biases, such as homophobia, transphobia, and heteronormativity, can create barriers to well-being, and we’re here to help you navigate those with compassion and support.
We also recognize the validity of non-monogamy, polyamory, and kink as essential parts of many people’s lives. With experience in working with non-traditional relationship structures, we provide a sex-positive, inclusive space where you can explore your identity and relationships without fear of judgment.
Whether you are seeking individual therapy, relationship counseling, or support for alternative relationship structures, our team is here to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your concerns and work towards growth and healing. Contact us today to schedule an appointment and take the first step towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
Using techniques like somatic parts work (IFS-informed), attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness, our therapists will guide you through the process of understanding and healing from past wounds. We offer both in-person and online sessions. If seeking Telehealth, you must be located in the state of Florida at the time of service.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy involves one-on-one time between a client and therapist. This is a 55 minute session in which we will work together to help you meet your goals. While there are many different therapeutic orientations that may occur in individual therapy, I focus primarily on behavioral approaches.
Couples and Multi-Partner Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy involves therapeutic work with two or more individuals who are in a relationship together. This is a 55 minute session in which we will work together to help you meet your shared goals. Group Therapy & Psychoeducational Groups
I offer support groups and education designed to help you improve your mental wellness and learn new skills. Groups are a great way to receive feedback and practice new styles of interaction. This may be a cost effective option for those wishing to supplement individual services.
